         Kent County Court Proceedings, 1648-1656.  65

     That sumwhat more then a yeare agoe, yor deponent beeinge at Liber A
   mr Dorrels house, heard him use theese words, or speake to Giles
   Bleak on this maner; Tell mt Broadnox tht the tob which yu Owe
   him I will sattisfie him, in his own hand out of the tot tht is due
   to mee uppon Kent & further saith not        Sign~

     The depossition of Tho: Hill aged 52 yeares or theareabouts
   taken in the prsents of the Coup the first of July 1656, Sworn
   Examined & saith
     That beeinge prsent with mr Carline at mr Dorrels house, hee aliso
   heard the very same wordes, From mr Dorrell, as is exprest in the
   former depossition, & further saith not; Tho: Hill

     The depossition of Robert Dunne aged 26 yers or theareabouts
   Sworne Examined Saith
     That yor deponent beeinge at Goodman Martines, sume tyme in
   Dessembr to the best of his knowledge, hee heard Goodman Martin
   say tht Edmund Burton had a sowe at his house, with seauen piggs
   or more, & wondred hee did not looke after her, and further saith
   not                               Robe: Dunn
   This 23th of June 1656

     This Ensuinge bill is ownd & acknowledged by the Creditor in
   the pTsents of the Court, to bee his act and deede
     This bill bindeth mee Jno Deare of Kent plantr my heires Executors
   Admini~ or Assignes to pay or Cause to bee payd unto Robert
   Dunne, his heires Executors Admini~ or Assignes, the full & Just
   sume off Eaighteene hundred lb of good marchantable tot in leaffe &
   Caske to bee payd upon the Isle of Kent Conuenient, at or upon the
   last of Nouembr next, And for the bettr securitie of the payment of
   the afforesd debt, I doe by these prsents bynd & make ouer all my
   Right & tittle of tht plantation & land, now bought of the sd Dunne,
   That upon the non payment of the sd debt, afforesd I doe bind my
   self e, tht the sd Dunne shall Re-enter upon the sd land without any
   suit of law, and the bill payable alsoe and to the true intent &
   meaneinge heareof, I haue heareunto sett my hand this 18th of
   Febr 1655                  John Deare
