[p. 8] Know All Men by these presents tht I George Hosfoord of
Enemessike one the eastearne shore in the province of Maryland
Chirugeon doe stand & am firmly bounden & oblidged to Edward
Dickeson of the shore & province aforesaid plantor in the full &
Just sume of seaven thousand three hundred thirty & two pounds of
good sound marchantable tobacco with Caske according to act of
Assembly to be payd to the said Edward Dickeson or his true & Law-
full attourney executors or administrators To the wch paymt well
faithfully & truly to be made I doe binde me my heires executrB and
administrators firmely by these prsents sealed with my seale dated
the seaventeenth day of January in the yeare one thousand six hun
dred sixty Fiue
The Condition of this obligation is such tht whereas the within
named Edward Dickeson att the speciall Instance request & desire
of the within bound George Hosfoord by one obligation bearing the
date within written standeth bound J oyntly & severally with the said
George Hosfoord unto Ambros Londun in the sume of three thou
sand sixe hundred sixty Nine pounds of tobacco with Caske with A
Condition there underwritten for the paymt of three thousand six
hundred sixty flue to Ambros Londun his heires executts admrs or
assignes for the better security of the paymt of the said sume & keep
ing harmelesse the said Edward Dickeson his heires & assignes The
said George Horsfoord for himselfe his heires executrs admrs doth
Covenant & grant to & with the said Edward Dickeson & his heires &
assignes of the said Edward Dickeson That the said George Hosfoord
bringe or cause to be brought unto the dwelling house or one the
plantation of the said Edward Dickeson in Ennemessix all the proper
goods wares Marchandices tht doe belonge to the said George Hos
foord; And allsoe the said George Hors foord for himself e his heires &
assignes doth further Covenant to & with the said Edward Dickeson &
the heires & assignes of the said Edward Dickeson; That he will not
remoue or Cary away out of the house or ofe (of) the plantation
any of the goods marchandices aforesaid without the said Edward
Dickeson his heires & assignes Consent & aprobation Moreover the
said George Hosfoord his heires executrs & admrs doth Covenant &
grant to & with the said Edward Dickeson & the heires & assignes of
the Edwd Dickeson Not to goe or passe over the river pokemoke
