Liber A Wm Price hath made his apearance, to satisfie the law, For his
demerite standinge in Open Court, with a paper upon his brest,
declaringe his ofence, accordinge to an Order of Court dat~ Feb
ruarie the first 1655
rnT Tho: Broadnox hath Areasted to the Court Jn° Smith in an
Action of the Case Sume of his wittnes beeinge absent dessires a
Refference to the next Court, which the Court is pleassed to
graunt. hee imploid mr Connier & Tho H
John Smith deffendant hauinge subpened twoe wittneses for his
defence agst the afforesd action of the Case; For the auoidinge of
further trouble & Charge, dessires their Oathes may bee taken, to
bee of usse for his defence when Ocassion shall bee ofered
The depossition of Tho: Witherell aged 47 yeares or theareabouts
Sworne Examined & saith
That mr Broadnox Came to yor deponent & sd hee had lost a kocke
Turkey and yor deponent tould him, tht Jn° Smith tht morninge
kild a turkey, & mt Broadnox sayd tht his turkey was aliue after
George Hall was Corn from his house about noone, & mr Broadnox
sayd, I heard a gunne after George was gone, about the head of the
springe, & I thought tht gunne kild my Turkey; Then sd yor
deponent to him againe, then it Cannot bee yor Turkey, for the
Turkey tht John Smith kild, was kild in the morninge & further
saith not Sign Tho: Withrell
The depossition of George Hall aged 34 yeares or theareabouts
sworne examined and saith
That what the afforesd Tho: Witherell hath exprest in his Oath
yor deponent George Hall affirmes the same verbatum and further
saith not George Hall

[fol. 120] The Copie of an Atatchment agst the estate of Gilles Bleake
deseassed
Wheareas Thomas Cole hath made apeare tht hee hired out unto
Gyles Blake a sloope & boat fitted to bee imployed by the sd Blake
in Virginia, And the said Blake by his agreement was Engaged to
Returne the sd sloope & boate in good Condition to the sd Colle
with one half e of the profiitt, now wheareas the sd Blake is deceassed
in Virginia, & no accoumpt or payment of the hire afforesd, The
said Thomas Cole hath mooued mee for an Attachmt, on the goods
of the said Gyles Blake, to bee Ressponsible theare unto These
are therefore in the name of his highnesse the Lord Protectot, to
will & Require yU to Attach the goods & Chattels of the said Gyles
Blake at Kent, & soe to prouide tht the may bee Responsible to
satisfie the said Thomas Cole for the hire of his sloope & boate if
