324Kent County Court Proceedings, 1675-1676. Liber C John Cooper plt In an Accon of debt the shirriff of the County re [fol. 63] 63] John Ingram dft turning the writt non est Inventu & the Ingram being gon out of the County & leaving noe Attorny, the plt hath made it appeare by the Testemony of two wittness in open Court tht theare is dew unto him from the dft One thousand pounds of Tobb This Court doth Order tht an Attachmt shall Issue out agst the debts Goods or Chattles of the sd Ingram for the aboue debt. Wm Vaughan records his mark wch is Cropp on the Right eare & an underkeele & a slitt in the left Richard Fillingham records his marke for hoggs & Cattle, Wch is a Cropp & a hole in both cares Wee of the Grand Jury for the body of the County of kent doe prseflt the psons following by the Informacon of John Bowles Constable Mary Browne servant to mt Cothegys for haueing a bastard Childe, being borne the last of June & dyed the 6th day of July 1675 Ann Tumees servant to Larrence Sithons for scandiliseing Wil liam Joanes for she sd he gott her wth Childe the 6th or day of March last past in the yeare 1675 sigflum Nathaniell N Evatts foreman Samuell Tovy recordeth his marke of Cattle & hoggs wch is a Cropp & a slitt on the right care, & a Cropp & an under keele on the Left Charles Bancks recordeth his Marke of Cattle & Hoggs wch is a swallow forke on the left care & an under keild & an over keild on the right care, December the 8th 1675 Hance Hanson recordeth his Mark a swallow forke on the left care, & a Cropp & two slitts on the Right. To the Worpll the Comissioners of Kent County The humble peticon of Richard Tilghman Sheweth That wheareas yor peticonr aboot two Monthes since did take in George Hayes to Cure of the bones of his Cubit being lacerated & tome by an Accident in your County, Wheareby he is like to loose, the use of his right Cubitt for Ever, as by the patient may plainely appeare, And wheareas William smith of yor County in the prsence of mr James Ringold & others did pmise & assume to pay for one halfe of the Cure; The said George Hayes not being In any Capasity to make satisfaccon for the other half: & indeed uncapable to subsist of him self: yor peticonr humbly Craues yor Care & Assistance to see him satisfied for his full Cure, & likewise Order tht the poore man may be maintained; And yor peticonr as In duty bound shall Ever pray, &c. vera copia test Char Banckes Clr |
