The Saruant Sarah Tailer Craues of the Court tht shee may haue the Testimony of Mecom Meconny & Tho: watts to proue her complaint. Capt Bradnox beinge agreed thereto The Court doth order tht mr Phillip Conner shall Examine the Euidence & take their Deposions, & seeinge Just Cause shall send for Capt Vaughan or other of the Maiestrats to Adminr Justice as the Cause shall require, And the Sarut to returne home to her Maisters house Teste me John Cowrsey CIar. This day Henry Stoope in the behalfe of him Selfe & ptner John Gibson hath accknowledged a sale of half e the Land called Stoopelee Gibson, lyinge on the Isle of Kent & beinge Layd out for one hundred & Fifty Acres, unto Andrew Helena & his Heirs & Assignes For euer an Equall priuiledge, & an Assignmt on the sd Pattent product in open Court Teste me John Cowrsey CIar Ihe Deposion of Mary Meconnikin Aged 18 yeares or the abouts sworne in Court Saith That yor Depont came ouer one Morninge to John Smiths, & cominge ouer the Fence yor Depont saw Sarah Tailer standinge in the Doore, And when shee saw yor Depont shee rann in & shutt the Doore, & when yor Depont came in, Margret Smith, tould yor Depont, that there was one there newly come out of the woods & almost starud with eatinge Trash, & the sd Margret wisht yor Depont not to tell her husband John Smith, wch was in the Tob house & Further saith not Teste me John Cowrsey Clar Mary Meconnikin her marke Robt Knapp demandeth Rights of Land For one hundred & Fifty Acres of Land, wch he should haue had the last yeare but then not Knowinge his Lops Condicons, had but the one half e of his Due. The Court ordereth tht Robt Knapp shall haue 150 Acres more Ac cordinge to his Lops Grant to be taken upon on the Estern shore Teste me Jon Cowrsey Clar John Stoill makinge appeare to the Court tht his Rights of Land for himselfe his Daughter Ann & Jane Fox beinge due unto him for his tranceporting them into this Prouince at his owne Charge, the Court doth order tht the sd Said Jon Stoill shall haue his Land in any pt of this Prouince not yet taken up nor reserued For his Lodps use.
