Liber B thereof an Engagemt should be taken, in mannor & Forme as in
Those Artickles (relation unto thm beinge had) more at large Ap
peareth, And whereas by Acte of this last genarall Assembly, the
sd Articles are Confirmed, & the sd Engagemt by a Law Commanded
to be taken, To the end the sd Articles may be inuoyolably obserued,
And that all Jealousies and Feanes be remoued, These are in the Lord
Propriataryes names, strictly to Charge and Command all psons
[fol. 41] whatsoeuer, To make their repaire to the Clankes of their respectiue
County Courts, at, or before the 20th day of August next ensuinge,
to make their Subscription to the sd Engagent or else tht they puide
thm selues, to dept this province by the 25th day of March next And
doe Declare tht all psons tht shall refuse to subscribe the Engagemt
wthin the time before limit and shall be found in any pt of this
province after the 25th day of March aforesd, shall be pceeded against
as Rebells, and Traitours. giuen under my hand this 23th of July

To this Honble Court
Pattericke Forest requesteth tht all such psons who stand as in
debted to the Estate of mt Thomas Hatton Decedent doe here, either
upon oath or discharge make what they can Appeare, to Cleare thm
selues of those debts, or Fees, other wise Execucon to proceede, And
yor Peticonr shall pray
The Court doth therefore order, That all such psons as are con
cerned herein make their Appearance, and to Cleare thm selues if
they can, or At any other Court, when they shall be there unto
Called.
Mr Thomas Bradnox sworne in Court 20th of July 1658
Saith That all such Fees as ware due From me to mr Thomas
Hatton I haue payd to mr Tho: Marsh, & For mr John Russell the
whole Charge of one Pattent. the Charge is 214lb of TotS & the
Pattent 147lb the whole is 36Ilb and Further saith not.
Mr Tho: Hinson Sworne the same time, saith
That all such Fees as ware due to mT Tho. Hatton, yor Depont
veriwell remembreth tht hee hath payd mr Thã: Marsh decedent
the Depont mr Thã. Hinsons Charge of Fees is 137lb of TotS &
Caske & Further saith not.

Joseph Wickes Sworne this 21th of July 1658
Saith That this Deponant was Indebted by Bill & acco unto mr
Thomas Hatton about the quantytie of eighty one Pounds of TotS,
wch bill was in the Custodye of me Thomas Marsh & the fore sd Tob
was demanded, & payd, upon the Geñall Acos betwixt the sd Marsh
