           Liber B  quiet: John Gibson laieing hould of Mr Bradnox yor depnt & others
               pswaded the Sd Salter to goe out of the fort the Mr Bradnox
               followed us & barred the gates & to Salter forewarne the of my
               ground; whereupon the Sd Salter Charged Mr Bradnox with rape in
               the Ld protectors name & caled yor depnt & Tho: Snocks to wittnesse itt
               the Sd Snockes not rightly understanding it as the first motion made
               some demur & the Sd Salter replied thou Dost not understand what
               it is whereupon the Sd Snockes went in againe & yor depnt & John
               Salter went to the Corner of the new orchard yor dpnt pswding the
               sd Salter to goe to some other house to lie that night the Sd Salter
               asking me to sit downe thear upon the ground with him yor depnt
               replied to Salter wilt thow not goe; goe if thou louest thy freind &
               Salter replied againe by him that made me I will not goe untill I
               haue spoken with the ould woman the Sd Snockes coming out at the
               gate yor depnt sd to the sd Salter speake to Tho: Snockes to goe in
               & speake to her the sd Salter replied noe he would nott & Salter replied
               to me againe goe thee & bringe my gun & shott bag out whereupon
               yor depnt spoke to the sd Snockes & sd fetch him his gun & shott bag
               out & Snockes replieing againe he shall haue it & goeing into the
               fort againe Mr Bradnox meeting him at the gate Dickes if yow
               haue any thinge to doe heare come in for if the rogue be not gon
               the sooner I will shoote him or breack his legge whereupon the sd Mr
               Bradnox ran in & fetch his gun & coming out the Sd Snockes meeting
               him at the porch doore he being busie to tack his gun the Snockes
               clapt his knee to the but end of the gun & shott her of the sd Mr Brad
               nox loading his gun againe the Sd Snockes did the licke & shott of
               the sd Salters gun & brought her out to him & bid him begon or else
               it would be the worse for him then Salter replied againe & swore
               gods bloud I doe not feare noe body whereupon yor depnt left him
               with Tho: Snockes & John Gibson & meeting Mr Bradnox with a
               rammer in his hand swearing thou rogue I will knock thee on the head
               or breack thy legs the Sd Salter replied againe doe ould Tom doe
               thy worst I feare thee nott y0r depnt seeing noe body ofer to resist
               MY Bradnox stept betweene & saued the blow & Mr Bradnox letting
               fall the rammer tooke his shotbag from about his shoulders & gaue
               the said Salter 3 or 4 straps with it the sd Salter takeing him by
               the shoulders sd ould Tom be quiett whereupon yor depnt endeuored
               to part them & pswded Mr Bradnox to come in along with me & left
               the sd Salter without seeing him noe more thought he had been gon
               & that night heard a iumbling at the back gate & the Sd Snockes &
               the Irishman went out & asked whoe is there the 6d Salter making
               answar & sd let me in & Snockes replied againe I dare not I am fore
               warned to the Contrary & Salter replied then giue me some fire where
               upon the Sd Snockes replied upon a Condition I will whereupon the
               said Snockes came to yor depnt & sd he would not let him in; where
               upon the Sd Salter came into the fort & the sd Snockes asked him
               was he madd he asked him againe for for what & Snockes tould him
