numbered 628 to 637 inclusive for one thousand three hundred &
thirty three and one third Dollars each & four other Certificates dated
Novemr 6. 1778 Numbered 638 to 641 inclusive for six hundred and
sixty six & two thirds Dollars each and two tender Certs Number 34
& 35 for one hundred pounds each which Certificates were taken
from him by armed Men on the 13th of March 1781 public Notice
of which has been given & the other forms complied with required
by a Resolution of Congress of May the 10th 1780 in the Case of
Continental Certificates under Similar Circumstances & Colo Lloyd
having agreed to indemnify the State should the lost Certificates be
presented for payment hereafter. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Allen Quynn
Esqr five hundred and forty three pounds, nine shillings and six
pence specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this
State per Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Henry Lyles one hundred and
thirty two pounds, thirteen shillings and five pence of the Bills of
Credit emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca
to be delivered over to William Lyles due him on a Certa issued agree-
able to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State.
That the Eastern shore Treasurer pay to Colo Edward Lloyd thirty
seven thousand five hundred pounds of Tobacco to be discountable
for the past or any future Taxes, due him for a Schooner Boat im-
pressed into the Continental Service & lost in Virginia to be charged
to the Continent per Account passed. —
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Maurice Simons fifty
four thousand three hundred pounds of Tobacco on Potowmack
River Inspected since 1780 in lieu of four hundred and thirty four
pounds, eight shillings Sterling advanced by him as follows to Colo
Thomas Woolford fifty one pounds, one shilling & ten pence
farthing — Capt Jacob Brice ninety eight pounds, fourteen shillings
& two pence, Capt John Lynch forty six pounds one shilling & seven
pence — Capt John Gassaway ninety six pounds, two shillings &
eleven pence — Capt George Hamilton thirteen pounds, nine shillings
& six pence half penny — Lieut Henry Gassaway sixty pounds, twelve
shillings & two pence — Lt Philip Read twenty seven pounds, twelve
shillings — Lieut Arthur Harris forty pounds thirteen shillings & ten
pence Officers of the Maryland Line while they were prisoners in
Charles Town South Carolina to be charged to them per Accounts
passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Henry Lyles for the use of William
Lyles twenty five hhds of Tobacco weighing twenty six thousand
eight hundred and thirty three pounds including four p Cent for
Casks to be by him Accounted for at fifteen shillings Specie per Cent
in part Payment of a Certificate for three hundred and eighty three
pounds, nine shillings and seven pence issued agreeable to the Act
to adjust the Debts due from this State. —
