and will scarce pay the Storage, we think it had better be sold and
hereby direct you to dispose of it to the most Advantage for the State.
Before you can draw any of the Money, voted last Session to dis-
tressed Creditors, it will be necessary for you to produce your Claim
against the State, without it is produced, we shall not be able to ascer-
tain what the State owes you and therefore unable to determine on
the Sum to be drawn.

Wednesday 20th February 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Ensign Edward
Hamilton of the 3d Regiment & Capt James Somervill each thirty
pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills
of Credit &ca in lieu of a Suit of Cloaths and four shirts for the pres-
ent Year on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Walter Dyer thirty eight
pounds, six shillings and three pence of the same Emission for Stores
to the 26th of January 1782 on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Nathaniel Offutt ten pounds five
shillings of the same Emission due him per Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Lewis Neth thirteen pounds two
shillings and eight pence of the same Emission for a Certificate issued
agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State. —
That the said Treasurer pay to John Forbes Esqr sixty pounds of
the same Emission due him for a Horse taken by Danl Jenifer Esqr
p Certificate passed. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Benjamin Ogle
Esqr one hundred and seventy seven pounds and two pence specie
agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State per Cer-
tificates adjusted and passed the 18 Instant. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Benjamin Ogle Esqr one hundred
and seventy seven pounds and two pence of the Bills emitted under
the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca for a Certificate issued
agreeable to the Act aforesaid. —

Spurrier thirty pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the
Emission of Bills of Credit &ca in lieu of a Suit of Cloaths and four
Shirts for the present Year on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Allen Quynn one hundred & three
pounds six shillings and eight pence and one hundred and ninety
seven pounds, one shilling and nine pence of the same Emission due
him on two Certificates issued agreeable to the Act to adjust the
Debts due from this State. —
