between America and Great Britain without the Leave of the Gover-
nor and Council for the time being, first had and obtained. —
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas Duckett
one hundred and two pounds, thirteen shillings — and Thomas Rut-
land five hundred and eighteen pounds and ten pence of the Bills
emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca due for
Certificates issued agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from
this State —
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt Lilburn Williams, twelve
pounds, eighteen shillings for Stores to the 1st Instant on Account —
Capt Horatio Clagett of the 5th Regiment twenty one pounds, ten
shillings for Stores to the 1st Inst, and also thirty pounds of the same
Emission in lieu of a Suit of Cloaths for the present Year on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Major Benjamin Brookes seventy
two pounds, thirteen shillings and eight pence due him on a Certifi-
cate adjusted and passed — thirty pounds in lieu of a Suit of Cloaths
for the present Year on Account and forty eight pounds of the Same
Emission to be by him delivered over to John Smith Brookes Esqr
and Company per Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Zephaniah Turner the following
Sums of the same Emission, forty two pounds, seventeen shillings
and five pence for the use of the Revd Ignatius Matthews — ten shil-
lings for the use of Thomas Crackler, one pound fourteen shillings
and nine pence for the use of Joseph Wilson, and five pounds, sixteen
shillings and three pence for the use of Elizabeth Young per Certifi-
cates and Accounts passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Philip Thomas one hundred and
seventeen pounds, two shillings & nine pence of the same Emission
due him for a Certificate issued agreeable to the Act to adjust the
Debts due from this State and also to Colo John H. Stone four hun-
dred and seven pounds, sixteen shillings and three pence of the same
Emission due him for half pay per Account passed : —
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Rutland five hundred and
eighteen pounds and ten pence — Philip Thomas, one hundred and
seventeen pounds, two shillings and nine pence — John Ball twenty
pounds seventeen Shillings and two pence and to Rachel Furry two
hundred and eighteen pounds, eleven shillings and five pence specie
agreeable to the " Act to adjust the Debts due from this State per
Certificates and Accounts adjusted & passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Daniel McPherson twenty nine
pounds, nine shillings & eight pence specie agreeable to the Act afore-
said per Certificate adjusted the 29th of January. —
