passed by the Auditor General; and are approved by this Board. —
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James O'Hara
a Blind Soldier five pounds Current Money allowed him by the
Board in Virtue of a Resolve of the General Assembly passed July
1779.—
The Council adjourned 'till tomorrow morning io oClock.

The Honorable John H Stone — Samuel T. Wright — John David-
son and Charles Wallace Esquires
David McMeachen Esquire exhibits to the Board a Judgment ob-
tained on an Account by George Irvin against James Christie for
Twenty Seven pounds, nine shillings and three pence three farthings
Current Money — two Judgments obtained by William Jones against
the Estate of John Lynch for one hundred and forty nine pounds,
eighteen shillings and nine pence three farthings Current Money
passed by the Auditor General the 13th of November 1783: And
also a Bond from Doctr Henry Stevenson to Thomas Jarrold dated
the 12th of May 1771 in the Sum of Twenty eight pounds Sterling
amounting with Interest to the 12th of this Instant to Eighty three
pounds, one shilling and four pence Current Money passed by the
Auditor General and are approved by this Board. —

A Petition from Matthew Whiting at Sharpsburgh in Washing-
ton County, was presented to the Board, setting forth that in Decem-
ber 1779 he removed from the State of Virginia to this State, where
he carried on the Distilling Business, and soon after was informed
of an Act of the General Assembly prohibiting the Distilling of
Grain into Spirit — in order to avoid the Penalties of the Law, he
applied to one of the Justices of the Peace for the said County, who
