Tuesday 22d January 1782

Ordered that the western Shore Treasurer pay to Capt William
Bayley one hundred and thirty seven pounds, five shillings and six
pence of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills
of Credit &ca of the money appropriated for the present Campaign
due himself and Detachment of Militia under his Command per Ac-
count passed by the Aud Genl.
That the Said Treasurer pay to William Goldsmith seven pounds,
nineteen shillings and Six pence of the Same Emission of the Money
aforesaid due him per Acct passed by the Depy Aud. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Doctr Philip
Thomas sixty seven pounds, fourteen shillings and nine pence Specie
agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State due him
per Account passed by the Aud. Genl the 24th Novemr 1781.
That the said Treasurer pay to George Mann one hundred and
fifty Seven pounds, four shillings and six pence specie, out of the
first Money that shall be brought into the Treasury due him per Ac-
count passed by the Aud. Genl. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Doctr John Johnson one hundred
and eight pounds, fourteen shillings and six pence Specie agreeable
to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State p Acel passed by
the A Gl.
That the Said Treasurer pay to His Excellency Governor Lee
fifty eight pounds, four shillings and six pence of the Bills emitted
under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money
appd for the present Campaign per Certe settled by the Depy Aud to
this Inst.
William Sterett made Application to this Board for a Commission
of Letters of Marque and Reprisal for the Schooner Camden be-
longing to John Sterett and Compy of Baltimore commanded by
Joseph Foster of the Burthen of one hundred and fifteen Tons,
mounting Six Carriage Guns, navigated with twenty men. There
being no such blank Commissions at present in the Possession of this
Board it is judged proper at the earnest Solicitation of the Owners
aforesaid, to [be] given this Certificate which proves that the Fees of
Office have been paid and every necessary step taken by them to ob-
viate the Difficulties and Inconveniences which may arise by the Sail-
ing of the Vessel without a Commission. —
