Present the Honorable Benjamin Stoddert, Gabriel Duvall & James
Brice Esquires —
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Thomas Johns
Eleven pounds two shillings and ten pence specie agreeably to the
"Act to adjust the Debts due from this State " per Certificate ad-
justed the 27* Instant
That the said Treasurer pay to Alice Redmond One pound ten
shillings and three pence and to Ann Procter and Catharine Sail-
wood each, One pound two shillings — and six pence out of the
Money appropriated for Contingent Expences per Accounts passed —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James White
One hundred and thirty two pounds, six shillings and eleven pence
specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State "
due him on a State Certificate No 863 adjusted by the Depy Audr
That the said Treasurer issue a Certificate to Enoch Jenkins agree-
ably to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of this State, Creditors of
Congress &ca " for Seven pounds three shillings and two pence due
on Continental Loan Office Certificates adjusted by the Deputy Audr
That the said Treasurer issue a Certificate to Luther Martin Es-
quire agreeably to the Act aforesaid for One hundred and sixty seven
pounds, six shillings and three pence due on Continental Loan Office
Certificates adjusted by the Depy Audr the 28 Instant
That the said Treasurer pay to Jonathan Slater Twelve pounds,
eighteen shillings and three pence current money for one Year's In-
terest on a Certificate issued under the "Act to adjust the Debts due
from this State" Number 13. dated 19th July 1781. —
A Petition from Charles Bosley of Baltimore County, praying a
Remission of a forfeited Recognizance, was presented to the Coun-
cil, and read; setting forth that in the year 1781 he became Security
for a certain Vincent Trapnell of the County aforesaid in the penalty
of five thousand pounds of the then current Money for his appear-
ance at the General Court to answer an accusation of having resisted
one of the Collectors of Baltimore County in the Execution of his
Duty : that the said Trapnell became bound for his appearance in the
like Sum, and neglected to appear, and his Recognizance was for-
feited, as well as that of the Petitioner; that Execution issued against
said Trapnell and the sum of One hundred and twenty five pounds
red money was levied and paid by him in Discharge of said Execu-
tion — And the like process hath issued against the Petitioner for the
same Sum, which he is unable to pay without the ruin of his Family ;
