That the said Treasurer issue a Certificate to Joseph Sprigg Es-
quire agreeably to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of this State,
Creditors of Congress &ca " for One thousand, three hundred and
eighty three pounds, three shillings due on Continental Loan Office
Certificate adjusted by the Deputy Audr the 25 Instant
The Honorable Jeremiah T. Chase Esquire attended
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer issue a Certificate to
William Farris agreeably to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of
this State, Creditors of Congress, &ca " for Two hundred and thirty
pounds, ten shillings due on Continental Loan Office Certificates ad-
justed by the Deputy Audr the 24th Instant
That the said Treasurer pay to Jacob Sugg sixty pounds, eighteen
Shillings and five pence specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the
Debts due from this State " per Account passed. —
It appearing by the Certificate of the Clerk of Frederick County
that a recognizance was returned against Joseph McKillup in the
sum of ten pounds Sterling for the appearance of Joseph Mellon,
which was forfeited by the Nonappearance of Mellon, and Execution
issue thereon against the said McKillup and by the representation of
sundry the Magistrates of Frederick County that previous to the
Meeting of the Court Mellon removed to Pennsylvania and died
there — a fact not known at the time of the Execution's issuing —
Ordered that the said fine of Ten pounds Sterling be remitted, Joseph
McKillip, paying the Cost that hath already accrued

It appearing; from the representation of sundry the Magistrates of
Frederick County, that William Cummings an Ancient Inhabitant
of that County was fined Twenty five pounds for Drinking the King
of Englands Health, a Crime of which it afterwards appeared more
than probable that he was not guilty Ordered that the said fine of
Twenty five pounds be remitted. —

Present the Honorable Gabriel Duvall, Jer T. Chase & James
Brice Esquires

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Jubb Fowler
Two pounds, two shillings and six pence Current money out of the
Money appropriated for Contingent Expences per Account passed. —
The Honorable Benjamin Stoddert Esquire attended. —
James Jaffray exhibits an Account to the amount of Three hun-
dred & twenty two pounds, eight shillings & eleven pence against
Robert Christie junr in Virtue of the Act entitled "A Supplement to
the Act for the Liquidation & payment of Debts against persons
convicted of Treason " passed by the Aud : Genl which is approved. —
