that the said Trapnell hath since the forfeiture of his Recognizance
been fined by the Judges of the General Court the Sum of Six pounds
current money and Costs, which he has also paid : And thereupon
the Council taking the said Petition into Consideration upon the
foregoing State and the Recommendation of the Judges of the Gen-
eral Court for a Remission, and public Justice appearing to have
been satisfied by levying the Sum forfeited by the principal Vincent
Trapnell for his Non appearance, and the fine imposed with Costs as
before mentioned & the Circumstances of the Petitioner entitling him
to mercy, the Council are of Opinion that the said forfeited Recog-
nizance be remitted & do order accordingly. —

Thursday 30th October 1783

Present The Honorable Benjamin Stoddert, Gabriel Duvall, Jere-
miah T. Chase and James Brice Esquires. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer issue a Certificate to
William Aisquith agreeably to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of
this State, Creditors of Congress on Loan Office Certificates &ca "
for Sixteen pounds, eight shillings and five pence due on Continental
Loan Office Certificate adjusted by the Deputy Audr this Day. —

That the said Treasurer pay to Luke Barnwell Nine pounds cur-
rent money, out of the Money Lodged in the Treasury for the use of
the Hospital per Account passed. —

David McMachen exhibits an Account to the Amount of One
hundred and five pounds, fifteen shillings and nine pence half penny
against Robert Alexander in Virtue of the Act entitled " a Supple-
ment to the "Act for the Liquidation and payment of Debts against
persons convicted of Treason " passed Novemr Session 1782 — passed
by the Auditor General, which is approved —
David McMachen as Attorney for the Commissioners of Harford
County, exhibits an Account against Robert Christie formerly Sheriff
of Baltimore County to the Amount of Five hundred and sixty two
pounds, seven shillings and seven pence in Virtue of the Act afore-
said, passed by the Auditor General which is approved —

Friday 31st October 1783

Present the Honorable Gabriel Duvall and James Brice Esquires
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer issue Certificate to Jesse
Read agreeably to the "Act proposing to the Citizens of this State,
Creditors of Congress &ca " for Thirty eight pounds, eighteen shil-
lings and seven pence due on a Continental Loan Office Certificate
adjusted by the Deputy Auditor. —
