recognized by Caecil County Court at June term 1782, in the Sum
of Twenty pounds each, for his appearance at the then ensuing Court
to answer to a presentment which had been found against him near
four Years preceeding that Time, for feloniously taking a Quantity
of Salt; that he attended from Day to Day during the ensuing Court,
but never heard his Recognizance called, and yet the same, as also
that of his Security was forfeited, and they are both now under Exe-
cution, each for the aforesaid Sum of Twenty pounds and five hun-

dred and sixteen pounds of Tobacco with additional Costs; that he
is not guilty of the Crime alleged, and has always been desirous of a
Trial, and therefore praying a Remittance of the forfeitures afore-
said : And it appearing from the Certificate of the Justices of Caecil
County Court that the Allegations in the said Petition so far as they
relate to the proceedings of the Court, are true, and the said Justices
having recommended a Remission, the Accuser having not been
heard of for some time, and there being no probability of his appear-
ing against the said Robert Cather. The Board upon Consideration
are of Opinion that the said forfeited Recognizances ought to be re-
mitted, and do accordingly remit the aforesaid Sum of Twenty
pounds in each of the Cases aforesaid. —

We beg Leave to remind you of your Contract and Agreement
with this Board for the Exportation of Flour and Corn for the Re-
lief of our Naval Prisoners at New York : a very considerable Bal-
lance appears to be due to the State, and we request you will make
immediate Payment. —

Present as on Yesterday.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Colo James
Tootell Twenty seven pounds, thirteen shillings and one penny Cur-
rent Money, out of the Money appropriated for the Barges in part
of an Order of the 8th May last returned. —
That the said Treasurer pay to the said Colo Tootell Thirty eight
pounds, nineteen shillings Current Money Balance of an Order of
the 8th of May last returned. —

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Allen Quynn
Esqr Two hundred and thirty six pounds, four shillings and ten
pence specie agreeably to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this
State " per Acel passed the 10th Inst
