We request you will deliver the enclosed Permission to William
Groves, upon his executing the Bonds, which is also enclosed. The
Bond you will be pleased to convey to this Board by a safe Oppor-
tunity

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to George Davis
twenty one pounds, four shillings and six pence of the Bills emitted
under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca of the money
appropriated for the present Campaign per Acel passed by the A Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to Jeremiah Tarlton one hundred
pounds of the same Emission, of the money aforesaid to be delivered
over to Joseph Ford Commissary of St Marys County on Acct

We have yours of the 5th Instant and have sent you by Mr Tarlton
£100. of the last Emission, to enable you to procure the Salt you may
want. The Account you enclosed should be setled, in the first In-
stance, by the Auditor.

Thursday 10th January 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Capt Robt Denny
thirty seven pounds, ten shillings Specie to be expended in Defraying
the Expences of General Smallwoods Table agreeable to a Resolution
of the General Assembly on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Doctr James Brown of the Hospital
Department thirteen pounds, ten shillings specie part of the money
appropriated for the Officers at the Southward &ca on Account
Whereas John Stump of Harford County did on the 28th Day of
January 1781 enter into Bond with sufficient Security to the Gov-
ernor and Council for the Time being in the penal sum of two thou-
sand pounds, Conditioned that he would not depart the District of
Harford County without leave being first obtained from the Gov-
ernor and Council and that he would be of good behaviour during his

continuance therein. Be it known that Circumstances having changed
the said John Stump and his Security shall be discharged from the
said Bond upon his giving Bond for the same Sum with sufficient
Security that he will not depart this State and be of good Behaviour
during the present War. On Mr Richard Dallam's certifying that
the last mentioned Bond is duly executed then this shall be deemed
a full Discharge from the Bond of the 28th of January 1781. —
