That the said Treasurer pay to Samuel Nicholls, two hundred
and sixty four pounds, eight shillings and one penny Specie agreeable
to the Act aforesaid due him on six Certificates adjusted and passed
the 4th Instant.
Commission issued to Henry Shryock elected Sheriff of Wash-
ington County. —
Commission of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to William
Thomas Commander of the Schooner Freemason one hundred and
four Tons burthen, navigated with twenty one men, mounting six
Carriage Guns, belonging to Charles Crookshanks and Company of
Maryland dated the 25th of October 1782. —
Samuel Chase Esquire a Member of the House of Delegates waits
on the Council with an Order of the House, signifying the Opinion
of the General Assembly, that the Election of the Governor be notified
to the Citizens of this State by Proclamation issued to the Sheriffs
of the several Counties, to be by them Published; by the Sheriff of
Ann Arundel on this Day and by the Sheriffs of the other Counties
on the 14th Day of next Month — The Council thereupon direct the
Sheriffs to make Proclamation accordingly.—
His Excellency William Paca Esquire having this Day been
Qualified in the Senate House in the Presence of the Members of the
General Assembly, took his Seat in the Council. —

hereby directed to notify, by the enclosed Proclamation, to the
Citizens of on Saturday the 14th of next Month,
the Election of the Governor.

Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Rezin Beall
two hundred and forty seven pounds, sixteen shillings and one penny
and Capt Thomas Beall forty seven pounds, fourteen shillings specie
agreeable to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State " per
Accounts & Certificates adjusted and passed. —
