just the Debts &ca " per Certificate adjusted. —

[Wm Paca in Council to The Honble General Assembly]

We have the Honor to lay before you, a Letter from the Treasurer
and our Answer, respecting the Staying of Executions against the
Purchasers of confiscated Property. We trust the Reasons assigned
will be deemed sufficient to warrant our Interposition in a Matter of
so much Importance, at a Time when Recourse could not be had to
your Honors.

Tuesday 26th November 1782

Present as on Yesterday. John H. Stone Esquire attended.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Joseph Gilpin,
four hundred and sixty two pounds, four shillings and ten pence —
John D. Thompson thirty two pounds, four shillings and six pence —
Baruch Williams thirty one pounds five shillings and seven pence —
Samuel Hughes Seven pounds, three shillings and four pence — and
Benjamin Miller Ten pounds, fifteen shillings and two pence specie
agreeable to the "Act to adjust the Debts due from this State " per
Certificates adjusted and passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Robert Darnall forty eight pounds
eighteen shillings specie agreeable to the Act aforesaid due him on a
Certificate for a Horse purchased 16th June 1781 with Interest
to this Day. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Mary Connolly, Ann Holdston

and Alice Redmond each, three Dollars specie per Accounts passed. —

That the said Treasurer pay to William Rawlings twelve pounds
one shilling and six pence, and Samuel Carter nine pounds, seven
shillings and six pence specie out of the Money appropriated for the
Barges due them per Accounts passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to David McMechen Esquire for
the use of Benjamin Nicholson seventy pounds, one shilling and ten
pence specie Balance of his Salary for the Year 1780 per Account
passed January 1782. —
