Act to adjust the Debts due from this State per Certa of Colo Hol-
lingsworth adjusted & passed.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Athanasius Ford
twenty five Pounds, six shillings and ten Pence and Joseph Gordon
nine Pounds, one shilling and six Pence specie agreeable to the
Act to adjust the Debts due from this State per Accounts passed.

[Council to Major General Lincoln]
We have been honored with your Letter of the 9th Instant con-
taining sundry Enclosures. The Resolution of Congress, respecting
the forming the Troops of each State into complete Corps, shall be
laid before our Assembly, at their first Meeting. Be pleased to accept
our Thanks for the Intelligence you favored us with.

[Council to Honble Intendant]
Mr Morris having informed us, in a Letter of the 16th ulto, that,
"he will readily receive the Paymaster's Notes as Cash "; it is our
Opinion that the Treasury and the Collectors should be directed to
receive in Payment of the five Shillings Specie Tax the Notes of the
Paymaster General, issued to the Officers of the Maryland Line, for
two and three Months Pay, which will be benefitting the Officers,
increasing the Means in the Hands of the People, of paying the Tax
and consequently, making the Tax more productive. We therefore
request you will give Directions accordingly.

Wednesday 2 1st August 1782
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to George Grahame,
ten Pounds, Samuel Scott and Gideon Longfellow, each, nine Pounds,
one shilling and eight Pence, Alexander Leath six Pounds, thirteen
shillings and four pence John Leath fourteen Pounds, eight shillings
and four Pence, and Henry White, and William Richardson, each, ten
Pounds, five shillings specie agreeable to the "Act to adjust the Debts
due from this State " per Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Wallace & Davidson one thousand
four hundred and eighteen Pounds, thirteen shillings and ten Pence
specie due them for Linen & Blankets purchased of them January
1781 p Account adjusted and passed.

[Council to Honble Intendant]
The enclosed is the Copy of a Letter we have received from Mr
De Saussure Commissioner for setling the Accounts between this
State and the Continent. We presume this Business will be entered
upon, as soon as Circumstances will permit, and we shall therefore
refer Mr De Saussure to you.
