emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca twenty
one Pounds to be by him retained, fourteen Pounds to Lieut Edward
Speddin, fourteen Pounds to Lieut Zadock Bodfield and the residue
thirty one Pounds, eighteen shillings and four Pence to Sundry
Persons per Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Risdon Bozman one hundred and
twenty five Pounds, three shillings and ten Pence of the same Emis-
sion, seven Pounds, eight shillings and four Pence to be by him
retained and the residue to be delivered over as follows, eight Pounds,
eighteen shillings and four Pence to Thomas Mure, fourteen Pounds
to Thomas Dixon, seven Pounds, four shillgs to Capt George Waters
& his Guard, eighteen Pounds, nine shillings and two Pence to Capt
John Jones and his Guard, thirty four Pounds, eighteen shillings and
two Pence to Ens. John Jones, fourteen Pounds, one shilling and
eight Pence to Ens. James Curtis and twenty Pounds, four shillings
to Henry Mure due them per Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas McCannon nineteen
Pounds, ten shillings, and William Hutchings three Pounds, nineteen
shillings and seven Pence of the same Emission due them per Ac-
counts passed.

On the Application of Stephen Steward Certificate was given to
Jesse James Commander of the Brigantine Nesbitt one hundred and
twenty Ton burthen, navigated thirty five men, mounting twelve
Carriage Guns, belonging to Stephen Steward & Son of Maryland
and John Maxwell Nesbitt of Philadelphia.

We hereby request and authorize you to establish a Magazine of
Provisions at Snow Hill for the Supply of the Barges, and to appoint
a Person to manage it under your Direction, allowing to the said
Person, such reasonable Compensation for his Services and necessary
Expenses in House Rent &ca as you shall judge proper. In order to
keep up proper Supplies at the Magazine, we have in our Letter to the
Intendant, of this Date, requested him to furnish you with whatever
may be necessary for that Purpose. We also appoint you to act as
Paymaster to the Barges, and to enable you to execute the Duties
thereof, you are hereby authorized to call upon the Commanding
Officers for Pay Rolls and Returns of the Men, agreeable to such
Forms as you shall direct, which, with the proper Vouchers for your
Payments, are to be laid before this Board.
