Credit &ca, twenty five Pounds, sixteen shillings for Stores to the
1st Instant and the further Sum of thirty Pounds in lieu of a Suit of
Cloaths and four shirts for the present year on Acct.
That the said Treasurer pay to Zephaniah Turner Esqr forty four
Pounds, fourteen shillings and one Penny of the same Emission,
thirty Pounds two shillings and nine Pence thereof to be delivered
over to Colo Thomas Harris due him per Account passed, and four-
teen Pounds, eleven shillings and four Pence to be delivered over to
John Muschett due him per Certificate adjusted agreeable to the
"Act to adjust the Debts due from this State."
That the said Treasurer pay to John Carroll ten Pounds, five
shillings and six Pence of the same Emission for Clothing per
Account passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Zephaniah Turner Esqr for the
use of Edward Miles two Pounds, ten shillings specie due him for
flour Barrels per Account passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Zephaniah Turner for the use of
Richard Bond three thousand two hundred pounds of Tobacco due
him p Accot passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to the Revd Ignatius Matthews six
thousand six hundred and fifty six pounds nett Tobacco in Nanjemoy
or any other Warehouse in Charles County due him for Tobacco lent
the State in 1780 per Certificate adjusted and passed.
That Doctr Murray deliver to His Excellency Governor Lee one
pounds Crem. Tarter from the State Hospital Shop.

Wednesday 31st July 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Jesse Bennett
thirty four Pounds, four shillings and six Pence of the Bills emitted
under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca to be delivered
over to Capt Benja Dennis and his Company of Militia due them per
Payrolls examd and passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Gassaway one hundred
and twenty five Pounds of the same Emission in part of his Salary
on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Francis Sanderson four hundred
and thirty three Pounds, nine shillings and three pence of the same
Emission due him per Account passed.
Upon the Representation of Mr Paca and Captain Walley, that a
Captain of Marines was necessary for the Barge Commanded by
Capt Walley on Account of his being commanding Officer of the
whole and the extraordinary size of his Barge. Ordered that such
Officer be appointed and allowed fifteen Pounds per month with the
same rations granted to other Officers.
That Doctr Worthington be appointed Surgeon to the Barges with
power of appointing a Mate.
