thousand four hundred and five pounds, eighteen shillings and three
pence Specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this
State due on Accounts and Certificates adjusted and passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to John H. Stone Esquire fourteen
thousand four hundred and sixteen pounds of Tobacco including four
p Cent in lieu of one hundred and eight pounds two shillings and five
pence Specie the Balance of an Order on the Treasurer in his favor
dated 1st Feby last for one hundred and fifty pounds six shillings and
four pence.

[Council to General Smallwood]

Capt Abell of St Mary's has four British Prisoners in the Harbour,
they belonged to the Barges in the Bay. We shall be much obliged to
you to order a Guard to take Charge of them.

Friday 3d May 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Colo George
Dashiell two hundred and fifty four pounds, three shillings of the
Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca
due him on a Certificate issued agreeable to the Act to adjust the
Debts due from this State.

That the said Treasurer pay to David Shriver Esqr thirty seven
pounds, ten shillings and six pence of the same Emission to be
delivered over as follows, eleven pounds eleven shillings and eight
pence to each of John Baun, Stephen Hafley, and Nicholas McGwire
and two pounds, fifteen shillings and six pence to Andrew Hawn per
Accounts and Certificates passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Henry Sewall sixteen pounds, six-
teen shillings and nine pence of the same Emission for the use of
Nicholas Sewall due him per Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Adlum six pounds, nineteen
shillings and four pence — Thomas Mainard two pounds, fifteen
shillings and four pence — Frederick Kemp eight pounds — George
Snider two pounds, one shilling and nine pence — Stephen Ramsburgh
forty eight pounds, six shillings — Elias Ramsburgh one hundred
and seventy five pounds, fourteen shillings and nine pence and Ursula
Ramsburgh twenty nine pounds, four shillings and six pence Specie
agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this State per
Accounts and Certificates adjusted and passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Doctr Benjamin Fendall twenty
two pounds, six shillings and one penny Specie agreeable to the Act
aforesaid due on the Treasurers receipt settled and passed.
