That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut Henry Gassaway twenty four
Pounds, thirteen shillings of the same Emission for Stores to 14
Inst on Account.
That Mr Shaw, Armourer deliver to Capt Taylor for the use of
the Galley Baltimore — Colo Hooe engaging to return or pay for the
following, one nine pound Cannon, one Carriage for Ditto, one
Rammer and Spunge one Worm & Ladle, one priming Wire, twenty
Wads, four Charges of Grape, 6 round shot & i former.
Commission of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to Hezekiah
Hughes Commander of the Brig Richmond, one hundred and eighteen
Tons burthen navigated by thirty men, mounting eight Carriage and
two swivel Guns belonging to Henry Messenaire of Baltimore Town.

[Council to William McLaughlin Esqr Sher. Balto]

Henry Oram hath preferred a Petition to this Board praying to be
relieved from an Execution for a Fime and the Costs and Charges
attending the same; but having no Power to determine on his Case,
we have referred his Petition to the General Assembly, and request
you not to confine him or do any other Act injurious to him in
Relation thereto, until the Sense of the Assembly is made known.

[Council to General Smallwood]

You will perceive by the enclosed Letter, the present Situation of
Commodore Grason. By some unaccountable Mismanagement, the
Men you Spared for the Barges a few Days ago, have returned with-
out meeting with them, and they are not now in Sufficient Force to
proceed down the Bay; We therefore request you will once more, be
so obliging as to direct Captain Bagues with the 30 Soldiers, to join
the Commodore, they will not be detained longer than the Time for
which you agreed to Spare them.

Wednesday 1st May 1782

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Seney Esqr
forty five pounds, thirteen shillings and seven pence of the Bills
emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit &ca to be
delivered over as follows: eight pounds, fifteen shillings and three
pence to Thomas Kernal — nine pounds, one shilling and eight pence
to William Lee — nine pounds, thirteen shillings and four pence to
James Anderson — nine Pounds, one shilling and eight pence to
George Ross — nine pounds, one shilling and eight pence to John
Wallace due them per Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Turnbull five pounds three
shillings and two pence of the same Emission to be delivered over as
follows Three pounds to John Trottman, two pounds to Bryan
