There are a Number of Invalids and Soldiers Wives, whose Hus-
bands are in the Army, in Town, who occupy the Quarters destined
for the effective Soldiers. We are told that there is a good Deal of
Spare Room in the Poor House, and as we are not aware of any
Inconvenience it would be attended with, we should be glad these
People could be suffered to be sent thither where they will be supplied

with Rations. Reasonable Compensation will be made for the use
of the House. Be pleased to inform Majr Davidson whether this
Measure will be agreeable.

Monday 29th April 1782
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to James Earle
Denny thirty one pounds, five shillings Specie agreeable to the Act to
adjust the Debts due from this State per Certificate adjusted and
passed the 26 Instant.
That the said Treasurer pay to James Rigby three pounds ten
shillings. James McCarty eleven pounds, eighteen shillings and four
pence and William Mar eleven pounds, thirteen shillings and four
pence of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of
Credit &ca due him per Accounts passed.

Tuesday 30th April 1782
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William May-
nadier fourteen pounds, one shilling and eight pence. Barton Beall
seven Pounds fifteen shillings. Thomas Wood fifteen pounds, eight
shillings and four pence. Samuel Richards sixteen pounds ten
shillings. Thomas Hill fourteen Pounds, five shillings and eight
pence of the Bills of Credit &ca p accts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Edward Burgess Ensign seventeen
Pounds, nineteen shillings and nine pence of the same Emission to
be delivered over as follows, eleven pounds, nineteen shillings and
nine pence to Capt AEneas Campbell, two pounds to Joseph Pedicourt
and four pounds to James Norwood per Accounts passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo Thomas Gist thirty five
Pounds, one shilling and three pence of the same Emission, fourteen
pounds six shillings and three pence thereof to be by him retained,
twelve pounds ten shillings to be delivered over to Lieut Colo Fred-
erick Decker and nine Pounds, five shillings to Majr Gist Vaughan
due them p Accts passed.
