examined & passed, and also the further sum of eleven hundred and
ninety eight pounds, three shillings and eleven pence of the Bills
aforesaid for the use of his Battalion of Militia due them on a Cer-
tificate issued agreeable to the "Act relating to public Creditors " —
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo Henry Hollingsworth sixty
nine pounds, seven shillings and nine pence for the use of White-
head Jones and also Twenty four pounds, fifteen shillings and six
pence of the same Emission due himself per Certificates and Account
adjusted & passed.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Bolton one hundred and sixty
six pounds, fifteen shillings & five pence half penny of the same Emis-
sion due him per Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to Joseph Merrikin twenty-six
pounds, three shillings and one penny of the same Emission due him
on a Certificate issued agreeable to the "Act to adjust the Debts due
from this State "—
That the said Treasurer pay to Benjamin Ogle Esquire thirty nine
pounds specie due for Corn purchased of him p Account passed. —
That the said Treasurer pay to John Bolton four hundred and
fourteen pounds, eight shillings & seven pence & also to Macall Med-
ford four hundred & seventy seven pounds, fourteen shillings & one
penny, specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this
State per Certificates adjusted and passed. —

Ordered that the Commissary of Provisions deliver to Colo Samuel
Smith three thousand one hundred and forty eight bushels of Wheat
in Montgomery County to be by him accounted for at four shillings
per bushel. —

[Council to Honble Intendant.]

There are several Orders on the Treasury for Specie, which we
think it would be of Advantage to the State to pay in specific Arti-
cles. We shall therefore refer all those who have such Orders, and
apply to us for Payment, to you, to agree upon the Articles and
Prices.

We have agreed to pay Colo Samuel Smith one Half his Claim
for the Brig Cato, amounting to 629.. 11.5 Specie, in Specifics, under
the Clause in the Supply Bill directing the Appropriation and Sales
of 20,000£. We have referred him to you to agree upon what Spe-
cifics to be paid him and the Price

The Council have determined to discontinue the Issues at Chester
Town. You are therefore requested to deliver to the Commissary
of that County all the Provisions and other public Property you are
