I wrote you the 25^th acquainting of the circumstances of things
at that time, since which I have waited on Col^o Yeates to receive the
Cattle (on hand) (about 200 Head) which he declines receiving, and
gives me for answer that his orders are to receive Beef Slaughtered
and Barreld up, and not Cattle as this may throw both him and myself
into fresh difficulties. I'le thank you to be particularly pointed in this
matter; and also on the Subject of Forage as your orders to me is
to supply Col^o Yeates with what Forage he may want (which I have
done) but whether does this include all pasturage as well as Forage,
(long and short) if it does I shall want more money and a consid-
erable part of it of the hard kind, as the other wont pass at all out of
the State (where we are obligd to go for considerable part of our
pasture and Hay) nor have I been able to buy one Bushell of Corn
without engaging to give half, and in many instances the whole
amount in hard money, pray direct me in these particulars.
P. S. Our Sheriff and Comissioners have refuS^td every Certify-
cate given for Forage (and pasturage) which makes the people in
this County refuse to take Certifycates for those articles.

Thomas Tillard Mill the House is so bad nothing Can be kept Dry
In it I am tould Grat Part of the Wheat that was Caryed to it In the
fore Part of the sumer is now lying Rotting In it and what flower
thay have maid Prety ny In as bad a way as the Wheat the flower
is so bad thay have bin Heving it out to the Hoggs the People are
now Caring In thare Nice wheat and a Puting it among it among
the old Rotten wheat so the Publick will lose boath Nice and old that
Mill has not Watter to grind more then fore months In the year.
