[Council to Capt George Keeports.]

You will immediately send hither all the Arms with the Accoutre-
ments lately received from Philadelphia, and the two brass field
Pieces with their Ammunition and Apparatus. There is a further
Demand for one hundred and sixty Blankets which you will procure
immediately and forward as soon as possible, you'll give us Infor-
mation by the Return of the Express of the Number of Cartridges,

you have made and the Quantity of Lead not run up, If you have not
already sent the Blankets mentioned in ours of the 25th you will send
with them ninety Stand of Arms (if you cannot send the whole by the
Time) to compleat the 3d regiment, also one Ream of Letter and
three reams of common Paper.

We are honored with yours of this Day and in Consequence thereof
have wrote to Baltimore to forward the Arms and the Blankets if
procurable, immediately to this place, as it is probable these Articles
will not be down by the Time you mention, and as our flesh Pro-
visions may be exhausted before a Supply is received, we cannot help
expressing our Desire that the third regiment may be ordered to
march as soon as possible and the Articles wanted, if they can be
obtained, shall follow them.

Tuesday 28th August 1781.

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Major John
Eccleston two pounds, five shillings of the Bills emitted under the Act
for the Emission of Bills of Credit not exceeding 200,000£ s of
the money appropriated for the present Campaign for Stores on
Account.

That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. George Handy of Colo Lee's
Legion, five pounds and six pence of the same Emission, of the
money aforesaid for Stores and also the further sum of thirty pounds
like money on Acct
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut. Jacob Craw ford of the 3rd
Regimt three pounds of the same Emission of the money aforesaid
for Stores on Account.

That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Jonathan Sellman one pound,
ten shillings of the same Emission of the money aforesaid for Stores
on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut. Thomas Price of the 2d
Regiment, one pound, ten shillings of the same Emission, of the
money aforesd for Stores on Account.
