Commissions issued to John Parramore appointed Captain, George
Layfield Lieut, Scarborough Parker Ensign. Samuel Hopkins Rounds
Captain, Isaac Evans Lieut, Joseph Broughton Ensign of Select
Militia raised in Worcester County and also to John Williams ap-
pointed Captain, Isaac Curtis Lieutenant, John Horsey Ensign of a
Company of Select Militia in Somerset County, and to Charles Staple-
fort appointed Capt. Richard Tubman Lieut, Charles Stewart Ensign
Bartholomew Ennalls Captain, James McCallister Lieut. John Miles
Ensign of select Militia raised in Dorchester County.
William Corbin appointed Captain, and Samuel Handy Lieutenant
of the Barge called the Reformation belonging to the Inhabitants of
Somerset County.

longa to the Lower Battalion of Militia in the County aforesaid.

We have not Time to answer your Letters fully by this oppor-
tunity, the Person who informed you the state continental Money
would not be received in the Treasury is exceedingly mistaken, so far
from that the Assembly have directed it to be received for all public
Debts at three for one hard Dollar and the last Emission as Specie.
You will give Directions to the Sheriff accordingly.

The Troops at this Post are again totally without flesh Provisions,
we hourly expect Beef from you, and request you will immediately
send the Fish and Bacon purchased by Col Lyles to London Town.
You must not delay one Moment to send the Fish, we will furnish
you with Money to pay the Hire of waggons, you will inform us
when the Fish will be at London Town Ferry that we may have
