We have yours of the 16th Instant, and altho we are well convinced
it requires Time to collect and forward a Number of Cattle, yet we
conceive our Orders long enough issued to have had the Cattle at this
Place before this Day, there are now about 1400 Troops in this City
and consequently the Demands for and Consumption of Provisions

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to William Clink-
scales, Hezekiah Elgin, Zachariah Posey, Ignatius Stewart, John
Butler, Matthew Smoot, George Hudson, James Taylor, Samuel
Dent. John Boswell, Thomas Gillam, Henry Butler, Hezekiah Mudd.
William Oliver, Joshua Stewart, James Warrington, Charles King,
David Davis, Barton Beall, William Lovelin, Thomas Elliott, George
Maddox, Henry Proctor, William Dorton, Harrison Elgin and
Charles McDonald each eighteen shillings Walter Warren Harmon
Seventeen shillings, Jacob Miles, Nicholas Miles, William Coombe,
John Clements, Benedict Clements, Richard Robie nineteen shillings
each, Notley Whitcombe two pounds, eight shillings, James Wright
and Charles Athy three pounds two shillings, Francis McCan two
pounds twelve shillings, Joseph Newbury two pounds fifteen shillings
and James Dunning two pounds sixteen shillings of the Bills emitted
under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit not exceeding
200,000£s &ca of the money appropriated for the present Campaign
due them for rations per Accounts passed by the Aud. Genl
John Parks of Baltimore Town having been Committed to the
Custody of the Sheriff of Baltimore County on Suspicion of Treason,
is hereby Ordered to be Discharged on his giving Bond with two
good and Sufficient Securities to be approved by this Board in the
penalty of one thousand Pounds Specie to be of good Behaviour
during the present War between America and Great Britain and not
to depart the State without Leave of the Governor and Council for
the Time being and in the mean time shall not by any Act or speaking
