Friday 17th August 1781

Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to Major Alexander
Roxburgh of the 4th Regimt nine pounds of the Bills emitted under the
Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit not exceeding two hundred
thousand pounds &ca of the money appropriated for the present Cam-
paign for Stores on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Neale eighteen shillings of
the same Emission of the money appropriated as aforesaid due him
for rations per Account passed by the Aud. Gen'
That the said Treasurer pay to Major Alexander Roxburgh five
pounds seventeen shillings and six pence of the same Emission of
the money appropriated as aforesaid for Potts bought by him for
the use of the 4th Regimt per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo Joseph Wood nine hundred
and twenty seven pounds, fourteen shillings and eleven pence of the
same Emission of the money appropriated as aforesaid for the use
of the Frederick Battalion of Militia under his Command ordered to
the Southward and also, two pounds like money as aforesaid for the
use of George Brown per Accounts passed by the Audr General.
That the said Treasurer pay to William Robertson six pounds nine-
teen shillings and nine pence of the same Emission of the money
appropriated as aforesaid due him per Account passed by the Aud.
Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to John Hawkins three pounds and six
pence Specie agreeable to the Act to adjust the Debts due from this
State in lieu of an order of the 30th August 1780 as settled by the
Aud. Genl the 16 Inst.
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. John Cormack forty eight
pounds. Capt. Daniel Sheilor four hundred and thirty pounds, four-
teen shillings and nine pence and to Capt. Michael Trautman one hun-
dred and eighty four pounds, twelve shillings Specie agreeable to the
Act aforesaid for the use of themselves and Companies of Militia
as per Pay rolls examined and passed by the Aud. Genl the 16th
Instant.
That the said Treasurer pay to Benjamin Sylvester one hundred
and fifty nine pounds, eighteen shillings Specie and also to Colo
Matthew Driver five pounds, thirteen shillings specie agreeable to the
Act aforesaid per Accounts passed by the Aud. Genl
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Major Alexander Rox-
burgh Twenty four Gallons of Rum and ninety six pounds of sugar
to the 1st Instant on Account.
That the Armourer deliver to Capt Thomas Grason two hundred
pounds of Langrage and six quires of musket Cartridge paper for
the use of the Eastern shore Barges.
