That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Philip Baily a soldier of
the 4th Regiment one Coat one Jacket one pair Overalls two shirts one
hat, one pair Shoes and one knapsack. Thomas Grason seven shirts
and seven pair Overalls for the use of the hands of the Barge Terrible
belonging to the State. Ensign Henry Baker two and a quarter yards
of russia Duck on Account and also to Lieut Rignal Hilleary of the 3d
Regimt two and a quarter yards russia Duck on Account
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Capt. John McGowan three
Days rations for three hands of the Sloop Success impressed in the
Public Service by D. Poe.
Commissions issued to Ralph Hilleary appointed Capt. Joseph
Madding Lieut and Thomas Hilleary Ensign of a Company of Select
Militia raised in Frederick County
Commissions issued to Daniel Sheilor appointed Captain in the
room of John Carmack, George Brown 1st Lieut. John Shoemaker 2d
Lieut. Christopher Need Ensign and also to Jacob Collins appointed
Captain in the room of William Cormack. Solomon Bentley 1st Lieut.
Christian Smith 2d Lieut and John Wood Ensign, belonging to the
Catoctin Battalion of Militia in Frederick County.
The measures pursuing by this State for filling up the Regiments
of Infantry and Troops of Calvary and prepairing them immediately

to take the Field, make the demands for the new Emission of money
very considerable but as the money to defray the Expences of the
Campaign cannot issue until the subscriptions and securities are
lodged with the Treasurer. The Governor and Council earnestly
request all those Gentlemen who are authorized to receive subscrip-
tions to exert themselves in Completing that Business and make re-
turns of the Subscriptions already received to the Treasurer of this
Shore without loss of time.

We received your Letter of the 14th and cannot allow any Spirits
to be issued to the Guard on their present Duty, as it has not been
allowed in any Instance except when from Home and then in very
few Instances the regulars in this City have not had any since they
have been here which is between two and three Months but we had not
Provisions to issue to them.

deceased should be sent to the Court as necessary to be produced on
