[Council to Mr. Robert Bowie.]

It has been represented to us that the detaining the Horse taken
from John Beans in Virtue of the late Act, will be attended with
very great Hardships, that the Horse is the Property of John Beans
his Son who lives with his Father, and is the only one for the use of
both Families to ride or drive in a Chaise and is occasionally used by
both, that John Beans Junr is a married Man and a Juror. As it is
not our Desire that any of the people of the State should be oppressed
when it can be avoided, we desire you would enquire into the above
Circumstances and if you find the representation to be true, and that
particular Hardships will result from the Detention of the Horse
that you would restore him to the young man.
