That the said Treasurer pay to Joshua Watts Three pounds, fifteen
shillings of the same Emission of the money appropriated as afore-
said due him per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Alien Quynn one hundred pounds
Specie agreeable to the " Act to Adjust the Debts due from this
State " part of an Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to John Jeremiah Jacob nine pounds
seven shillings and eleven pence Specie agreeable [to] the said Act
per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
Henry Baker, Basil Burgess, Samuel Brooke Beall, Frances Ware
junr and Edward Hamilton are appointed Ensigns and Gerard Wood
surgeons Mate in the Maryland Line their Rank and Arrangement
to be settled hereafter.
Ordered That the Armourer deliver to Colo George Streaker one
thousand Gun flints to be delivered to Philip Thomas Esqr Lieut of
Frederick County for the use of the Militia of the same.
That the western shore Treasurer pay to Gerard Wood appd
Surgeons Mate & Samuel B. Beall, appointed Ens. each, Ten pounds
of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission of Bills of Credit
not exceeding two hundred thousand pounds &ca of the money appro-
priated for the present Campaign on Account.
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Gerard Wood and
Samuel B. Beall each one suit of Cloaths & Linen for two shirts on
Account.

[Council to Colo. George Dashiell.]
Your Letter of the 25th July, we have received, it is necessary that
the Men draughted in your County under the Acts of the two last
Sessions, should be immediately marched to this City where they will
instantly upon their Arrival be supplied with every Article of Cloath-
ing they are entitled to by Law; you must be sensible it is not only
inconvenient but must be very expensive to send the Cloathing to

your County, and in Case the Draughts under the first Act should in-
sist upon receiving it before they march, we rely on your making use
of your Influence to induce them to come here, you may assure them
they shall not be disappointed, the Draughts from most of the Coun-
ties marched down with [out] receiving the Cloathing upon similar
Assurances, and they have not repented their complying with our
requisition. We have appointed a Special Court to try all offenders on
the Eastern Shore which is to sit at Cambridge in Dorchester County
you will therefore send the Persons taken under our warrant to that
Court to be tried, whereby the Trouble Inconvenience and Expence of
sending them hither will be avoided. We are sorry Mr McBride has
declined acting as Collector of Cloathing, and request you would take
that Duty on you or appoint a proper Person, the Cattle in those parts
