That the said Treasurer pay to John Welch Twelve pounds, four
Shillings and four pence of the same Emission due him p Account
passed by the D. Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Chalmers five pounds, twelve
shillings and nine pence of the same Emission due him p Account
passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Lawrence four pounds, two
shillings and six pence of the same Emission due him p Account
passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Elizabeth Issabel five pounds ten
shillings and six pence and one pound ten shillings of the same Emis-
sion due her per Accounts passed by the Aud. Genl and Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Philip Shepherd, nine pounds
seven shillings and nine pence of the same Emission due him per
Account passed by the Depy Audr
That the said Treasurer pay to John Singleton Two pounds twelve
shillings and six pence of the same Emission due him p Acct passed
by the D. Aud.

[Council to John Smith Brookes, Esqr.]

There are near five hundred Soldiers at this Place and the Com-
missary is without flesh Provision, we request you will have forty
Head of Cattle drove to this City and delivered to John Chrysal with
all possible Dispatch; it is absolutely necessary that at least ten Beeves
be delivered in four Days, and the remaining thirty as soon thereafter
as your Circumstances will admit. The new Money will be in Cir-
culation next week, when you will be furnished to enable you to
defray the Expences of your Department.

Thursday 12th July 1781

Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to John Bullen
Esqr Fifty pounds of the Bills emitted under the Act for the Emission
of Bills of Credit not exceeding two hundred thousand pounds &ra to
be expended in the purchase of Necessaries for General Smallwoods
Table and Accounted for.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut James Arthur of the 4th
Regiment three pounds eight shillings and five pounds ten shillings
of the same Emission in lieu of the like sums specie due p Accounts
passed by the Aud. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to Mary Preston and Hannah May
each, fifteen shillings of the same Emission due them p Accts passed
by the D. Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jonathan Parker five pounds of

the same Emission for riding Express to be accounted for.
