[Council to Collector of St. Mary's County.]

We request you to make an immediate Return of all the Tobacco
belonging to the Public in Llewellins and Leonard Town Warehouses,
which is so much exposed that we think proper it should be removed
but it cannot be done until the Notes are returned.

Ibid.

[Council to Colo. Wood.]

We received your Letter of the 2d Instant and in Answer to that
Part which relates to the Militia Guard to escort the Prisoners to the
State of Pensylvania, we refer you to our Letter of the first. Your
requisition that we would direct Capt Read and his Company to go the
whole Route and the Frederick County Troop of Horse as far as pos-
sible cannot be complied as their Services are required in this State.
