We have just now received your Favor of the 3d Current. Mr
Grason is approved of by this Board and we have the Honor to en-
close the Commission requested.

Monday 14 May 1781.

Negro Joe the property of John Eden of St. Marys County cap-
tured in the Jack Oth, Lanthorn by Capt Folger in the Antilope and
now confined in the Goal of this City is delivered to said John Eden
upon his agreeing to restore him on the order of the Governor and
Council or to pay the Customary Salvage whenever called on by the
Governor and Council.
Ordered That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Capt Harrison
three Days Provisions for two Men.
That the western Shore Treasurer pay to Jane Burk eighteen
pounds due her per Account passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jonathan Parker six pounds eleven
Shillings and three pence due him per Account passed by the Aud.

[Council to Mr. John Dorsey.]

We wrote you on the 3d March requesting you to send us immedi-
ately the full Proportion of the Foxes Cargoe of Sugar in your
Hands. We therefore desire you to comply with that requisition as
the Sugars we received from you are all exhausted and the constant
Demands from the Officers require that we should have in our Pos-
session all the Sugars belonging to the State.

Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Gustavus Horner
Surgeons Mate in the General Hospital forty six pounds, six shillings
due him for Stores per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Edward Spurrier of the 4th
Regimt eleven pounds eleven Shillings and six pence clue him for
stores per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Jacob Hust fifty one pounds four-
teen shillings due him per Account passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Rutland one hundred and
sixty four pounds and also the further sum of eighty four pounds on
Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut John Chever five pounds
fifteen shillings and nine pence and also five pounds twelve shillings
and six pence due him per Accounts passed by the Aud. Genl
