[Council to Richard Dallarn, Esqr.]
We have received yours of the 3d Instant. General Greene has
wrote us pressing the forwarding to the Southward the Recruits and
Draughts, we therefore cannot with Propriety give any further In-
dulgence. You will forward the Recruits immediately, and the
Draughts directly after the Expiration of the Time limitted by Law,
agreeably to our former Orders. It was our Intention that the Grain
and Flour should be removed from such Places on the waters as
might be exposed to small Parties of the Enemy to a short Distance
within Land until there was an Opportunity of forwarding it. We
cannot undertake to give you any Directions about the receiving the
Class Money more than to desire you to keep a particular Account
of what you may receive, of the Time you receive it and at what
Exchange.
