That the said Treasurer pay to Jonathan Sellman forty nine pounds
due him per Account passed by the Aud. Gen'

[Council to Colo. Rawlings.]

We have sent a Number of British Prisoners which we shall be
obliged to you to take Care of particularly Capt. Matthew Mangen
who has been represented to this Board as a person who has been
guilty of plundering the Inhabitants and burning their Habitations,
and who has made use of many threatening Speeches, should he not
be treated differently from what Prisoners of war are usually treated
that he will if exchanged or should effect his Escape, do every Mis-
chief to this State that may be in his Power

We are informed there are Several Negroes among the Prisoners
ordered to Fort Frederick, if so we would have them remain here to
be disposed of as may hereafter be directed.

We have given Orders to Capt Maccubbin to send an Escort with

a Number of British Prisoners to Frederick Town a List of which
will be delivered you by the Officer commanding the Escort, You will
receive them and order them under a sufficient Guard to Fort Fred-
erick to be delivered to Colo Rawlings with the letter enclosed.

Ordered that the western Shore Treasurer pay to Zachariah For-
rest one hundred and fifty Seven pounds four shillings for the use of
Capt. John Horn Abell and his Company due them per Acct passed
by the Aud. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to Capt. Samuel McPherson of the
1st Regimt fifteen pounds eighteen shillings and one penny due him
per Account passed by the Depy Audr
That the said Treasurer pay to Lieut James Simms of the 1st Regt
forty six pounds six shillings due him per Account passed by the
Aud. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to Thomas Gassaway Depy Audr
Seventy five pounds on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Benjamin Cawood for the use of
John H. Stone three hundred and ninety four pounds, nine shillings
and six pence Principal and Interest of a Certificate of A McLane and
John Bullen of the 1st of March for two Horses purchased by them
for Colo Lee's Coys
