Daniel Hughes Commissary of Prisoners informs that there are a
Number of British Prisoners in his Charge which he wishes to get
rid of, you will be so obliging as to send the whole of them under a
sufficient Guard to Frederick Town in Frederick County to be de-
livered to the Lieutenant of that County, to be by him forwarded to
Fort Frederick, you will mention in the Orders given to the officer
whom you may send that the Prisoners are to go on to Fort Frederick.

We have received your Letter and have requested General Bu-
chanan to send the British Prisoners in your Charge immediately to
Frederick Town to be forwarded from thence to Fort Frederick. We
cannot admit Manger to his Parole.
