We request you to deliver twelve barrels of Gun Powder, two
Barrels of which to be of the worst Quality, and have them with
four Boxes of Arms sent to Indian Landing'to Capt. Gilbert Middle-
ton immediately

Thursday 22d February 1781

Commission issued to William Woodward junr appointed Ensign
of Capt. Philemon Warfields Company in the Severn Battalion of
Militia in Ann Arundel County.
Ordered that the western shore Treasurer pay to John Randall
fifteen thousand pounds Contl and also two hundred and thirty eight
pounds one shilling of the new Emission in lieu of nine thousand
five hundred & twenty two pounds one shilling and eight pence and
sixty two pounds six shillings of the same Emission in lieu of two
thousand four hundred and ninety two pounds due him per Accounts
passed by the Aud. Genl
Permission granted to Captain Legh Master to return to New
Providence in the Sloop Experiment with such Prisoners as may be
delivered him by Mr Daniel Hughes Commissary of Prisoners.
Commission of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to George
Buchanan Commander of the Ship Tom Lee one hundred and
seventy three Tons burthen navigated by forty five men mounting
twelve Carriage Guns belonging to Archibald Buchanan of Baltimore
The Governor and Council have this Day agreed with Mr Stephen
Steward for three pieces of Broad Cloth vizt one piece white @ 21£
10 S. one piece of blue at 2of and one piece Scarlet at 3o£ per Ell
at four shillings Specie per Levie with Interest from this date at six
p Cent the money to be paid in May if possible.

We received your Letter of the 20th Instant and have sent you
Permission to return to New Providence which you will shew to the
Naval Officer of the District of Baltimore and Mr Hughes Com-
missary of Prisoners. We hope you will not meet with any thing
to delay your Departure any longer.
