Commissions of Letters of Marque and Reprisal issued to Fred-
erick Folger Commander of the Schooner Antilope one hundred and
thirty Tons burthen navigated by thirty nine men, mounting twelve
Carriage Guns and two Swivels and also to Thomas Cole Com-
mander of the Schooner Felicity, one hundred and six Tons burthen,
navigated by Twenty one men, mounting Ten carriage Guns and four
swivels belonging to John Sterett and Company of Baltimore.
Whereas the General Assembly by their Resolution of this Day
have authorized and requested us to Issue our Warrants to the
Lieutenant of Kent County to arrest George Mann of the said
County, the Lieutenants of Cecil and Harford Counties to arrest
John Stump and also to the Lieutenant of Queen Anns County to
arrest George Jackson and to seize all their Books and papers for
that it is represented they are disaffected and Dangerous persons and
that there is good reason to believe they have purchased up con-
siderable quantities of Grain for the use of the Enemy and that their
going at large is Dangerous to the State. The Lieutenants aforesaid
are therefore herebv empowered and required to arrest the said
George Man, John Stump and George Jackson immediately and to
take into their Possession all the Books and papers belonging to them
and to send them with their Books and papers, seized by the said
Lieutenants under proper and sufficient Guards to us and for appre-
hending taking and securing the said George Man John Stump and
George Jackson, their Books and papers we do hereby in Pursuance
of the said Resolution empower the Lieuts aforesaid to take such
part of the Militia of their Counties as they may think proper and if

It is not in our Power to send you any Salt [in] the Teams as the
Neighbourhood of this Place are imployed in removing the Public
Records. We therefore shall be obliged to you to hire Teams to carry
down what Salt you may want. We have no other than country Salt,
you will order the wheat to George Town to be delivered to
Mr Thomas Richardson. By Mr Harrison you will receive £200 of
the new Emission which is the only Money we have in the Treasury.

We are to supply you with 200£ 1. Powder and 50 Muskets and
Accoutrements, but it will be necessary for you to send for them, as
it will not be in our Power to send them to you.
