with Flour for the Havannah, where their Cargoes are to be sold;
and if it should appear advantegeous to the State, these Vessels are
to be loaded with Sugar for Cadiz to your Address. We enclose
you a Copy of the Agreement made with the owners of the Vessels
by which you will observe one half of each is to be loaded with
Goods on Account of the State. We expect if Bills can be obtained
at the Havannah, that our Agent will remit you a sufficient sum
with the Sale of the Sugars to fill up our half of the Vessels, if this
should not be the Case, we hope you will be able to do it by taking
Goods on Freight. We enclose you a Scheme for Goods, the Risque
of which you will divide as equal as Circumstances will admit, as
the Demands for furnishing our Army are pressing, we rely on your
Exertions to procure the Articles ordered for that Purpose, and
that you will dispatch the Vessels before any Expence of Demur-
rage is encurred, you will either diminish or increase the Articles
mentioned in the Scheme according to the Subject in Hand, holding
in Idea that the Soldiers Cloathing are the most neccessary.
