That the Collector of the Tax for Calvert County pay to Patrick
Sim Smith Esquire Commissary of Purchases for the County afore-
said sixty thousand Pounds on Account.
That the Commissary of stores deliver to Captains Henry Lyles,
James Lingan and John Sprigg Belt each a suit of Cloaths and Linen
for four shirts and to Captain Robert Chesely one Suit of Cloaths
due them for the year 1780.

Ordered That the Issuing Commissary Deliver to Captains Robert
Chesely, John Sprigg Belt, and James Lingan each twenty four
Gallons of Rum and ninety six pounds of Sugar due them for the
year 1780 inclusive.

We have enclosed you an Order on Mr Deney for four Boxes of
Sugar agreeable to your Request, and is the opinion of this Board
that you account for it, at the present current Price here, which is
six Pounds p Pound, and we cannot think of selling it for a less
Price than is in common given.
You will also receive eight hundred Pounds of the new Emission
by this opportunity to compleat the Purchase of the Wheat men-
tioned in your Letter

We are applied to by Capt. James Lingan John Bealt and Robert
Chesley who were Prisoners on Long Island at the Time we re-
quested you to advance to our Officers then in Captivity a Sum of
Money sufficient to discharge their Arrearages of Board but were
exchanged before they knew any thing of such Advance. We there-
fore shall esteem it a favor if you will direct that a Sum of Money
not exceeding forty Pounds to each Officer to be paid to Colonel
Marbury to be by him applied as the officers abovementioned may
direct

We shall immediately appoint a proper Guard to escort the new
Continental Bills to the Eastern Shore Treasurer, agreeably to the
Direction of the Act for calling out of Circulation the Quota of
this State &ca And we hope you will have the Bills in Readiness to
forward as soon as one of the State Boats return to this Harbour.

will have the Wheat manufactured into common Flour and not
