That the said Treasurer pay to Gabriel Petterson Vanhorne
Eighty eight Pounds four shillings and ten pence of the same Emis-
sion in lieu of three thousand five hundred and twenty nine pounds
thirteen shillings and nine pence due him per Account passed by the
Aud. Genl
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Capt William Middleton
of the Dolphin two Gallons of Rum for himself per month, two
rations per Day eight pounds of sugar and four and a half pounds
of Coffee per month and one and a half Gallons of Rum for each
Hand p month and one ration per Day from the sixteenth of the
present Month.

Esquire Fifty pounds of the new Emission on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jonathan Parker five pounds,
three shillings of the same Emission in lieu of two hundred and six
pounds due him per Account passed by the Aud. Genl

[Council Circular to the purchasing Commissaries of Calvert,
St. Mary's, Charles, Prince Georges, and Montgomery
Counties.]

As we have the most pressing Demands for Provision to be de-
posited or sent forward for the Army. We request you will use
every Exertion in Purchasing all the Pork and Beef for sale with

you and have it salted. The Averige Price of Pork in the State we
apprehend not to be above fifty shillings Gold p hundred at any Rate
you are not to exceed three Pounds Gold p hundred payable in the
new Bills at the Exchange, if you cannot obtain it at three Pounds
or under you are to inform us. We cannot mention any particular
Price for Beef but expect you will buy it on the best Terms you
can and that you will inform us of the quantity you have the Pros-
pect of obtaining and at what Price. You will take the most effec-
tual Steps to procure Barrels which are necessary, and we shall
supply you with such Quantity of Salt you may think necessary to
secure your Purchase, of which you will immediately inform us.
