to the Convention Troops and their Guard one thousand five hundred
Pounds Continental Money and thirty thousand pounds of tobacco
to be by him accounted for.
That the Issuing Commissary deliver to Captain Lloyd Beall four
Gallons of Rum sixteen pounds of sugar and nine pounds of Coffee
and also to Captain David Lynn Eighteen gallons of Rum, sixty
eight pounds of sugar and Thirty seven and a half pounds of Coffee
the deficiency of Stores to the 30 Novr inclusive
That the Commissary of Stores deliver to Captain Lloyd Beall
for the use of Francis Rogers a substitute from Montgomery County
for the Maryland Line a suit of Cloaths the Bounty allowed him
by the Genl Assembly.
William Heath appointed Inspector for Princess Ann Town in
Somerset County in the room of John Law who resigned.

We have drawn on you in Favor of Mr George Murdock for
15000 Pounds and for 30 Hogshead of Tobacco which we request
may be paid him immediately in Preferrence to any Orders drawn
on you. Mr Murdock will inform you, of the important Purposes
for which this Money and Tobacco is wanted

Colonel Wood who has the Command over the Convention Troops
expected in Frederick Town in a few Days, will deliver you this.
As it will be of Consequence to the Public and to the Inhabitants
of the Town that these Troops and their Guard be regularly supplied
with Provision. We request you to act as purchasing Commissary
for that Purpose. If you have any Provisions of any kind belonging
to the United States, we desire you to apply it towards the Subsis-
tance of those Troops, and we will be answerable to the Board of
War for the Application. Colonel Wood will be employed in getting
the Barracks &ca in Readiness against the Troops arrive, we doubt
not you will assist him all in your Power in procuring Plank Nails
&ca We have directed Colonel Price to supply what Flour Bran
and Shorts Colonel Wood may order, and we trust the General
Assembly will enable us to give you the necessary Aid in purchasing
the Meat Provisions and Corn &ca which may be required. In the
mean Time we entreat you to exert your personal Influence in pur-
chasing on Credit.
Colonel Wood will send some Waggons to Baltimore for Salt,
we will endeavour to send up more than will be necessary for the
use of the Troops, which will probably aid you considerably in your
Purchase. We inclose an Order on Mr Edelin for £15000 and for
30 Hhds of Tobacco, and have wrote to him to answer these Orders
