[Council to Colo Samuel Smith.]
We are willing to accept your Offer of the Brigg to load with
Flour to the Havana on the following Terms.
That you purchase a Load of Flour proper for the Havana
Market, for which you are to receive five p Cent. Commission. That
the State shall pay for the whole Cargo, as soon as possible. That
the Owners of the Brigg shall have one Half of the Proceeds of the
Cargoe at the Port of Delivery, and the State the other Half. That
the State shall be entitled to load one Half of the Brigg back Freight
free. That the Owners of the Brigg transport the Flour to the
Havana and pay all Port Charges here and at the Port of Delivery
and the Charges of loading and unloading the Cargoe That the
State shall be entitled to one Third of all Prize money which may

Friday 1st December 1780
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Daniel Munroe
one hundred Dollars on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jeremiah Clifford Twenty five
thousand Pounds to be by him delivered over Capt. Richard Conway
in part for Cloathing purchased of him for the Army.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Gilmore Three hundred
Dollars of the new Emission to be delivered over to Richard Dallam
Esqr on Account of Expresses employed by him at the request of
this Board and agreeable to the Recommendation of Congress.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jeremiah Clifford Eleven Pounds
twelve shillings and six pence of the same Emission in lieu of foure
hundred and sixty five Pounds for the use of Monia Clifford & Co
p Acct passed by the Aud. Gl
That the said Treasurer pay to James Brookes one hundred and
twenty six Pounds, five shillings of the same Emission to be
delivered over to John Bullen on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to John Bullen one hundred and
thirty two Pounds, twelve shillings & Six pence of the same Emission
on Acct
That the said Treasurer pay to Samuel T. Wright Esqr one hun-
dred and eleven hhds. of Tobacco weighing one hundred and fourteen
thousand two hundred and Eighty three Pounds to be delivered over
to Charles Blake Esquire Commissary for Queen Anns County on
Account
That Conrad T. Wedderstrandt deliver to Charles Blake what
Public salt he may have occasion for.
