This Board have purchased of Capt. William Richardson one
hundred and eighty seven Bushels of Country made Salt at ninety
Pounds per Bushel.
Ordered that the Issuing Commissarys of this State furnish
Captain Edward West a British Prisoner of War on his way to
Philadelphia for the purpose of being Exchanged with Provisions.

The Bearer Edward West, a Prisoner on Parole, as appears by a
Pass from General Gates, has applied to us for some Assistance to
enable him to reach Philadelphia. We have advised him to call on
you, in Hopes it may be in your Power to have him exchanged for
Mr Abraham Van Bibber.

We have been favored with yours of the 15th Inst, by Mr Herbert,
and are truly sorry to inform you that it is not in our Power to pay
you the Money due, agreeable to Contract, though every Step has
been taken to procure it which promised success. We have informed
Mr Herbert of our Prospects of a supply in a few Days and have
engaged to have the payment made in Alexandria by the 24th Inst
without putting you to further Expence or Trouble than the present
Disappointment necessarily occasions.

Friday 17th November 1780

Permission granted to William Dunster of Queen Anns County to
solicit Leave from His Excellency General Washington to go into
New York for the Purpose of obtaining a Passage to Great Britain.
Ordered That the western shore Treasurer pay to Hannah May
Five Dollars of the new Emission in lieu of seventy five Pounds due
her per Acct passed by the Depy Aud.
That the said Treasurer pay to Jonathan Parker six hundred
Pounds due him per acct passed by the Aud. Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Elie Williams Two thousand nine
hundred Pounds Contl and one hundred and fifty Pounds of the
new Emission to be delivered over to Doctr Henry Schnebely Con-
tractor for Horses &ca in Washington County on Account.
That the said Treasurer pay to His Excellency Thomas Sim Lee
Esquire one hundred Pounds of the new Emission on Account
That the said Treasurer pay to Captain John Rudulph six hun-
dred and thirty Pounds due him per Account passed by the Aud.
Genl
That the said Treasurer pay to Colo John Dorsey Thirty seven
hhds of Tobacco weighing thirty three thousand one hundred and
twelve Pounds at Fifty Pounds & four p Cent
