The House met according to Adjournment.
Mr Speaker communicates to the House, the Governour's Answer
to their Address on his Speech viz.
Gentlemen of the Lower House of Assembly.
It is a real Satisfaction to me to find by your Address that you
are resolved to act like good Subjects, faithful Representatives, and
true Lovers of your Country. T. Bladen
The House then proceeded in their Enquiry into the Merits of the
Election for the City of Annapolis
The House adjourns 'til To-Morrow Morning 9 of the Clock.

Col. Henry obtains Leave of the House to go Home
The House then resumed their Enquiry into the merits of the
Election for the City of Annapolis.
The House adjourns to 2 of the Clock.
Post Meridiem
The House met according to Adjournment, and proceeded on the
Enquiry into the Election aforesaid. And after hearing the Allega-
tions of Mr Stephen Bordley the Petitioner, and Dr George Steuart
the Person returned, with his Council, upon the most mature Con-
sideration of the Merits of the said Election; Resolved, That the
said Dr George Steuart, Returned as a Citizen and Delegate for the
City of Annapolis, is not duly elected, And,
Ordered, That Mr Speaker acquaint him, that he is dismissed from
any farther Attendance in this House: Which he does accordingly.
Resolved unanimously, That Mr Stephen Bordley is duly Elected
a Member for the City of Annapolis.
The House adjourns to Monday Morning 9 of the Clock.

Monday Morning, Aug. 12th 1745
The House met according to Adjournment. All members present
as on Saturday, except Col. Henry, and Capt. Addison. The Pro-
ceedings of Saturday were read.
Mr Osborn Sprigg, a member returned for Prince George's County
appears in the House.
Mr Wootton, and Mr Smallwood, are sent to the Upper House to
see him qualified; They return and acquaint Mr Speaker they saw
him qualified, by taking the several Oaths to the Government re-
