Twenty-ninth Day of September, Seventeen Hundred and Forty-
eight, that then this Act shall cease from the Time of the said Death
or Removal; any Thing herein before contained to the contrary not-
withstanding.

Session Laws

An Act for continuing an Act of Assembly of this Province, enti-
tuled, An Act ascertaining the Gauge and Tare of Tobacco Hogs-
heads, and to prevent cutting, cropping and defacing Tobacco
taken on board Ships or Vessels upon Freight.

XXVI

Be it Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary, by
and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor, and
the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority of the
same, That the above mentioned Act, entituled, An Act ascertaining
the Gauge and Tare of Tobacco Hogsheads, and to prevent cutting,
cropping, and defacing Tobacco taken on board Ships or Vessels
upon Freight, made at a Session of Assembly, begun and held at the
City of Annapolis, the Twentieth Day of April, Anno Domini Seven-
teen Hundred and Thirty-six, be, and is hereby continued to be
and remain in full Force until the first Day of December, which
shall happen in the Year of Our Lord Seventeen Hundred Forty and
Eight.

tion of an
Act

An Act reviving an Act, entituled, An Act for the speedy and effec-
tual Publication of the Laws of this Province, and for the Encour-
agement of Jonas Green, of the City of Annapolis, Printer, and
to other Purposes therein mentioned.

Be it Enacted, by the Right Honourable the Lord Proprietary,
by and with the Advice and Consent of his Lordship's Governor,
and the Upper and Lower Houses of Assembly, and the Authority

of the same, That the Justices of the several and respective County
Courts of this Province, shall, and are hereby impowered and di-
rected to make an Additional Allowance of Five Pounds Current
Money to the said Jonas Green, in the Levy to be laid for such re-
spective County after this present Session of Assembly (with the
Sheriff's Commission for Collecting the same, at the Rate of Five
Pounds per Centum) which shall be collected by the Sheriff of each
respective County, and yearly paid by him, free from all Charges
of Collection, to the said Jonas Green, or his Order, for the Printing,
Stitching, and Delivering within the Space of Six Months from the
End of this present Session, a Copy of the Votes and Proceedings
of the Lower House of Assembly, made this present Session, and
every other Session or Sessions of Assembly or Convention which
shall yearly happen, within the Space of Four Months from the End
of every future Session or Convention during the Continuance of
this Act, to the Governor, and every Member of the Upper and
